Managed IT
We run day-to-day IT for companies that don't have an IT department: the help desk your staff contact, the admin console nobody wants to own, laptops, accounts, and backups. Support is remote, on business days from 9am to 6pm Eastern, with onsite work available in New York City. It starts at $125 per user per month, with a $1,500 monthly minimum.
What's included
- Help desk by email and phone on business days, 9am to 6pm Eastern, with a written response time
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration: users, groups, licenses, sharing settings
- Laptop and phone management: enrollment, patching, disk encryption, remote wipe
- Setup for new hires and same-day offboarding for people who leave
- Multi-factor authentication and single sign-on for your main apps
- Backup of email, files, and calendars in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
- A short monthly report: requests handled, patch status, and anything that needs a decision
Not included
- Hardware and software licenses. We'll tell you what to buy.
- Onsite work, which is billed hourly and available in the New York City area.
- Support outside business hours.
- Projects such as office moves or email migrations, which we quote separately.
How long it takes
Onboarding takes two to four weeks, depending on how many devices and accounts need cleanup.
What changes the price
- Number of people and devices
- Regulatory exposure: SEC or FINRA oversight, payments, banks as customers
- How many SaaS tools and cloud accounts you run
- How much cleanup your environment needs before we can run it
- Which frameworks and how much of the business are in scope
- Deadlines, such as a customer who needs a SOC 2 report this quarter

Questions
- Do you replace our current IT person?
- Not necessarily. If someone in the office handles IT part time, we take over the routine work and they stay the local contact. If you have a full-time IT person, our security advisory is usually the better fit.
- What does onboarding cost?
- One month of fees, at least $2,500. On a twelve-month agreement it is credited back on your second invoice.
- Is there a contract?
- Twelve months at list price, or month to month at list price plus 10% with 60 days notice.
